yay update and stuff
Jun. 15th, 2006 08:44 pmHome from work, leftovers reheated and eaten. Just hanging out watching the Good Eats episodes I recorded on the DVR.
Monday and Tuesday they had people at Alltel fixing the sprinkler systems. Trying to sit through training class while the fire alarm was going off was not fun. Had headache by the end of each day Monday and Tuesday because of the volume level and annoying pitch of the alarms. Managed to survive though, and it's almost the weekend! We've been doing what they call job shadowing, which is essentially listening to other people take calls. I've definitely gotten a good feel for what life will be like on the floor at Alltel, and I think I will be quite content working here. :) Of course, a couple of the people I have sat with the last couple days... I've walked away feeling like I know more than they do, and that's really not a good thing heh. I just have to be patient though and get through the rest of training. Almost 2 weeks down, 3 to go.
I get paid tomorrow! :) Unfortunately, it's only one week of pay, and once I pay groceries and such, I'll pretty much be broke again for the next 2 weeks. Whee fun. I'll be glad when I'm caught up on stuff. The cost of moving really did take a huge toll on my finances. Especially considering it took me to -22.00 in my checking account. :( Hopefully we get our checks by lunch time and I can run to the bank over my lunch hour and deposit mine and get gas and get back to work before lunch break ends. I'm sure it will all work out eventually, it's just going to suck for awhile while I get caught up on certain things.
Need to also sit down (ok so I *am* sitting down...) and make out the grocery list so I can go grocery shopping this weekend. Also need to get the dishes done tonight before bed. Yay for boring daily life hehe.
